Silence – caused due a defect mainboard it was a bit quiet here. I vow
improvement.
And cause it happened a bit since the last days here comes a short
summary.
By the way... our forum got now more than 150 members and already 11000
posts and its getting more and more.
Now to the real, not so new, news.
Mutiny
The Texans round Joe Simon and Gaz Sanders are awful at weights cause
the Burlish, which was announced
at 2050g, is already 2220g.
Not that good but its absolutely ok.
All in all there are enough good things like the geometry, also the
look and even the workmanship is awesome. Recapitulating I can say the
frame is just brilliant with still an agreeable weight.
Also pretty to watch but as well not the announced weight - but just
only 8g
more – is the Lifted Stem. Its now 263g instead of 255g but
attributable to the look it is one of the nicest stems at the league of
light ones.
BSD
BSD released there prototype frame with bouncing and inspiring
confidence 2,22kg.
The release version will be a little bit lighter. Preview
Quamen
1950g clean tubes without brake pivots with the name A-10 Lyte are
buyable from now on.
It is getting a bit heavier with pivots or with pivots and gyrotabs as
offered as options – if you need them. picture.
Unfortunately Quamen is exceeding economical with other informations on
their website.
Deluxe BMX
Again something new from the island... and since it seems that half of
England rides dirt it could not be something different like a
dirtbrand. This brand builds one of that frames out of the 2kg
category. The Deluxe
Frame comes in two different sizes and weights. So it is
2.08kg at 20.7” and 2.14kg with a 21” toptube.
For everyone of you who likes clean frames without wishbones,
lasercutted gussets and different stuff this should be just the ticket.
Eastern Bikes
The Grim Reaper 3 is announced without, at last, millings. Instead of
damaged tubes out of the box they are going to work with titanium at
the seattube, chainstays and the headtube to keep the weight as low as
possible.
If the announced 1,6kg are true... we may have to find out but the
pricing at about 500$ sounds ok for a frame with titanium – even if you
think of the difficulties while you try to connect cromo with ti. More
soon.
Pivotal
MacNeil now earned money with Tempered
Bikes and also Volume.
Whereby the saddles from Volume are ... maybe not that nice.
Colony
... offered another sneak
on their anounced plastic pedals. They are looking bit better than the
first ones but a whole bunch of humans just dont think that they are
looking that good. Will see...
