Intense Micro Knobby
How do you combine the grip of a tire with deep profile with the low rolling resistance of a rather slick tire? You make a slick tire with nearly infinite knobbies which should be about 5000 of them.
So you make those knobbies very small and you get Mirco Knobbies. Sounds silly but Intense has been successful with that in bmx racing for years. They say their tire is the most innovative in bmx history.
It seems like they aren't that wrong with that daring claim, as the demand on the US market increased, Intense decided to make the tire in sizes that fit our small bikes and also the bigger 24" bikes.
For the dirt jumpers there will be a 1,5", 1,75" as well as a 2125" version, which probably is the official dirt jump version. It is foldable and weights in at 460g and is supposed to have a strong side wall.
I don't know how many 24" dirt jumpers there are, because I think it doesn't make sense, but whatever, there might be a 24 x 1,85" version of the tire. Although that might be even to narrow for the extremest of the extreme mountain-bike dirt jumper dudes.
For the guys who use the correct MTB size for dirt jumping there might be the fitting version in the future because they have been seen on the team bikes of your favorite trendy company, which attracted my interest at first.
We are just checking if we can get the tires here in good old Germany.
